Lost where and when
Last Grassdale Road, Gumdale DEC 2005
About this dog
Due to family illness, our much loved family dog was left at a boarding kennel before Christmas 2005 while we were away. On the day we were due to return, the kennel called to tell us that he was missing. He had somehow got away (we have since found out a gate was left open) and we have been desperately trying to find him since he went missing on 23 December 2005. Despite letterbox drops, posters in public areas, advertising in local papers, registering with the Pet-D-Tect, the RSPCA and local councils, and contacting local vets, we have not been able to find him. We have had several false leads and jokes played on us in our efforts to find him.
Our dog is a pedigree Australian Terrier, 4 years old with black and tan colouring. He had been shaved due to a paralysis tick and we spent a very large amount of money (more than $1000) to save him, only to have him lost to us by a negligent kennel owner a few weeks later. He is a very friendly dog, answers to the name Bluey and unfortunately was not wearing his collar at the time he went missing. The kennel removes collars and all other obvious identifiers. He also has had surgery on his right rear leg and has an identifiable scar as a result of this.
It is likely that our dog was picked up by a passing motorist as he was last seen on a relatively busy road (Grassdale Road in Gumdale), and could therefore be located away from where he went missing. It is also possible that he may have been given to someone as a Christmas gift. We are desperate for his return and are offering a very high reward.
We understand fully why it would be easy to want to keep him, but he is very much loved and missed.
We hope that whoever has our beautiful dog, or whoever might know something about his whereabouts might realize that we had no part in his disappearance and would love to get him back and reward the carers accordingly. Please, please pass on any information.
