About our business

Dog Lovers has been offering a clipping & grooming service to the Blackburn and surrounding area since 1991. Trish took over the business in 2007 and has developed it into the salon you see today. Trish has extensive knowledge of grooming breed specific dogs and is also able to help you on a wide range of grooming advice. Owning 3 dogs of our own we understand the importance of choosing the right people to entrust our fur kids to.

We have been training and competing in obedience, agility and tracking with our dogs since 1992 when we got our first dog together, a beagle! We belong to a number of dog training clubs and associations and volunteer as instructors in the evenings and Sundays. This experience with dog handling has enables us to look after your dogs in a positive and caring manner.

About our services

Grooming

Dog Lovers full grooming service includes: * A warm handwash in a hydrobath with good quality shampoo & conditioner * Pet thoroughly dried with a high velocity dryer * Coat clipped into a style that will capture the character of your pet * Groin & bum shaved to maintain hygiene * Nails clipped and ears cleaned and plucked if needed. Any additional requirements can be discussed. Our minimum turnaround for a groom is 2 hours, but dogs are welcome to stay longer for your convenience.

Dog Walking

Our dog walking service is ideal for dogs that are overweight, destructive, lonely, have behavioral problems or just need a walk.

We will pick up your dog, take it to a park for a fun walk and play, and return it to your home with minimum fuss to you. We also provide your pet with treats, fresh water, lots of love, and hugs!
