The D4DOGZ Story When we went looking for dog products after acquiring our own fur family, we realised that it was hard to find a wide range of good-quality dog products for pooches in the one store. Spotting a gap in the market, we said: 'Doggone it, if we can't find the sort of one-stop 'dogge shoppe' we're looking for, why don't we start our own?'

We ran the idea past Buster, Shadow and Charli, whose tails started wagging at the thought of all the fun dog toys, special dog treats, cool outfits, and other fascinating and useful items they would have ready access to.

They have never really been interested in our computer business, which we continue to run; so our idea got a big 'paws up' from the family.

We began researching dog products and putting together a plan to open a retail store in Beechworth, a popular tourist destination in north-east Victoria. We wanted the place to look stunning-like a boutique in London or Paris-with quality fittings and fixtures to match the quality products.

Finally, after purchasing a beautiful building and spending four months renovating and restoring it, we opened D4DOGZ in June 2008. The store was exactly what we had set out to achieve: a luxury dog boutique. We were extremely pleased with the outcome.

Then, on 21 April 2009, a fire broke out in our building and destroyed our computer business, my office, and all D4DOGZ' stock and fittings.

D4DOGZ re-opened Jan 2011, bigger and better than before, so come and visit us online or instore for all your dog supplies.

About our dog products:

D4DOGZ stocks anything and everything for everyone and their dog.

All our dog products are subjected to rigorous assessment by our 'consultants': Buster, a Jack Russell x mini foxy; Shadow, a black labrador; and Charli, a Jack Russell x Aussie terrier.

We sell gorgeous outfits and dog clothing for a range of climates, including oilskin coats that will keep your precious pup toasty during the colder months. Some of the brands we stock are Driza-bone, Puppia, Cococavana, and Hamish McBeth. We also have socks and boots to protect their paws (and your floors).

Our fabulous range of dog toys includes virtually indestructible items, enviro-friendly gifts, toys that are just plain cute and some that are downright hilarious. If these don't make your dog smile, they'll be sure to give YOU a laugh.

We have a fantastic range of dog collars, including bling, leather, restraint and harness styles, and more. Brands include Hamish McBeth, Fuzzyard, Driza-bone, Puppia and Sporn halters, just to name a few.

We also stock car restraints, car seats and travel gear to protect your car.

Our range of beds includes basic futons, beds that require less washing and resist spills, luxury beds, and gorgeous rugs.

We also cater for all your dog's catering needs. Buster, Shadow and Charli ensure that our range of dog treats is the best you will find. We stock regular treats such as pig's ears, rawhide products, beef jerky, dried chicken, cookies, and flavoured drops. We also have a huge range of harder-to-find yum-yums for your mate, including beef, deer and sheep ears, veggie ears, shark cartilage, turkey, lamb shanks, and dried lamb. Plus, we stock gourmet dog treats for any special occassion.

And what better way to serve dinner to your pooch than in a specially chosen ceramic, stainless steel or travel bowl, complete with place mat? We also stock  treat bags.

Our dog grooming products include luxurious shampoos and fragrances, electric clippers, combs and brushes. Look no further for products to keep your dog's breath fresh, or for the fashion-conscious bows, clips and charms to complete the look.

Other accessories for the well-dressed pooch include hats, caps, sunglasses, bandanas (including for cooling) and more.
