Beagle and Siberian Husky Problem

I have a beautiful placid siberian Husky and a beautiful nature beagle. There is one problem with them, everytime I try to pat my beagle he attacks the husky and will interfere and then starts to growl and bark. How can I stop this?

The issue is one of pack-leadership. You need to work our which of the dogs is top dog (after you of course) and that dog should be paid attention first. If you pay attention to the wrong one, the other one will take it out on the lower dog. This is not always an issue of sex, personality, breed or size. It is quite normal for eg a JR to lead the dog pack. Watch which one is more dominant, and respect the hierarchy within the pack as much as possible. Having a two- dog household try also using both hands?.
