Saucy Schnoodle - Sunshine Coast

We have a 18 month old male schnoodle who has cost me a fortune in underwear!! If any doors are left open when we go to work he goes on a mission to find underwear (From the laundry, cupboard, or drawers if they are not closed properly). He chews through pair by pair. He knows that he is doing wrong, as he tries to hide as soon as the items are being collected through the house. We have two small dogs so he is not on his own at home, and he has plenty of toys to play with when we are not home. I really need to find a solution to this problem as it is now getting out of control - please can you help???

Interesting! This may well be displacement activity and attention seeking behaviour for when you are away. It seems to happen only when you are away, and first thing I would do is secure all the doors, and avoid it from happening, so the dog 'unlearns'. The matter of attention seeking is clear and it would be beneficial to ignore him when you come home for 15+ minutes (and do same for the smaller dogs) and only when things have settled call them to say hello. Same when you leave put them out/away well before you leave so they do not learn to associate the behaviour with you leaving. I would also suggest if persists, get a good behavioural dog trainer.
