Pretty naughty puppy, Gladstone QLD.

Ruby is a 12 month old shepard cross desexed female. Missy is a lovely dog but terrible to walk and has completed puppy prep course. We use a check chain and lead, she costantly pulls, is also agressive towards bycycles, motor bikes and some people (mostly men). Ruby has a 40 minute walk at least 5 days a week and often goes to the beach, we've tried almost everything including treats. We love her to death but boy is she unpleasant to walk, help please! Tracie, hi - is there any cross in Ruby that is Border Collie and/or Kelpie?? They have a very strong chase drive and see bicycles and motorbikes as sheep to chase. The man bit must have some explanation in her puppy life that gives her impression about men. I would change the chain immediately for a Gentle Leader or similar and have the head collar fitted properly (one finger behind the neck collar and two fingers under the nose strap). The Gentle Leader comes with a DVD and great instructions from any pet store and is available in several colours. This training tool will help her settle down with things, and teach her to walk properly - and will give you much better control in a gentle fashion - not a chain. Good luck in retraining Ruby!
