A puppy bites for attention, and with kids especially the puppy turns it in to a battle of who can be the leader. I would recommend that you teach the kids to really move slowly around the puppy and reduce the risk of being chased and/or bitten. Puppies need to chew, so please get a KONG or similar dog toy made to teach the pup to chew. Use fresh lemon and/or citronella oil to mark parts of the furniture where he chews. Never spray any of this in his face; it is a deterrent only. Remove all shoes, and clothes, like socks etc from the floor - work on removing the challenges rather than punishing him when something has happened. Reward good behaviour and ignore bad behaviour. Season Greetings and would strongly recommend that you attend a puppy class with the dog.
