dog wont walk,noosa,(qld)

we have 2 lassie one is very old and cant not walk very far then we have a another 1yr she will not walk from outside our house she willonly walk if we drive 5 min from home do you have any tips to get her to work from home with out the older dog thank you kassie

ANSWER: dog won't walk
Did you get the younger dog as a puppy and has this been the case since she was a puppy? If she came to you as an adult it may well be that is how she has been trained to always get in the car for a walk. I would recommend letting one person take the older dog and walk ahead and the younger dog may well follow, especially if you let the younger dog walk with a slack leash for starters. Use some treats and lot of praise.
