two dogs don't come when called in park. Kalgoorlie WA

I take my two dogs (jack russell X and rotti X) for walk in the park off the lead and rarely come back when called or when there are other people or animals around. the jack russell X also nips at people's ankles in the park. Please help!

As dogs are pack animals, one takes off the other does the same - so the issue is to get both better trained in 'recall'. Start this back @ home, one dog at the time, and until this is 100% result, I would not recommend off leash as they will not come back. On the nipping, that is a typical JR trade and show dominance; again it would stop me from having my dog off leash until this is addressed. You may even find that you break the law and could be up for a fine and/or have a dangerous dog slapped on..... I would take them both to group obedience training and if needed get a good inhome trainer.
