DOG CHEWING PROBLEM - STAFFY CHEWING BULL TERRIER'S COLLAR OFF

WE HAVE A 2 YR OLD FEMALE STAFFY AND A 2 YR OLD MALE ENGLISH BULL TERRIER - THE STAFFY IS CHEWING THE BULL TERRIER'S COLLARS OFF - WE HAVE GONE THROUGH 4 COLLARS IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS, WE BOUGHT "STOP CHEW" SPRAY (BITTER TASTING TO DOGS) AND SPRAYED THE COLLAR, AND THIS HASNT WORKED - WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO AS SHE DOES IT WHEN WE ARENT HOME SO WE CANT CATCH HER IN THE ACT (ITS STRANGE HOW THE BULL TERRIER LETS HER DO IT). PLEASE HELP?

Answer: Chewing problem
Your dog are still very young and playful and they will play chase and grab each other when chasing by the neck - and a collar is a great tool to hang on to, or chew / break it when the other dog tries to run. It seems this happens more with the Staffy chasing the bull terrier. I am not in favour of this, but a chain collar would stop this (not a choker!) - an alternative is when they are properly secured in the back yard not to have a collar on the other dog. As they should be micro chipped this will be another option - but they would be breaking the law when getting out ? for not having your council tag on a collar.
