I have a 5 month old heelerX who wants to chase everything particuly cats she doesent want to hurt them, she has a great nature, how do i stop her from wanting to chase everything that moves?

The heeler part especially has a high chase instinct - and this needs to be down-trained to achieve what you want. This may require help of a trainer at a local club and/or inhome trainer. You may have same with her chasing balls etc. Have her on leash when she wants to chase and get her back in sit and when ignored reward her for not chasing and build up at short distances and over time expand as control has increased.
