Puppy urinating on his bedding, Adelaide, SA

I have a 3 month old American Staffy who urinates on his bedding, whether he is inside or outside. He doesn't like lying on the bedding after it is wet so why does he do it? How can I stop him?

It may be habit forming from when the pup was very young and mum would clean the den after the puppies. At what age did you get the pup? If well before 8 weeks this may well be the reason. I suggest that the bedding is properly cleaned and disinfected and sprayed with a white vinigar solution to remove the scent and let that air dry. I would recommend to take the puppy out more often with lots of praise when the puppy does the right thing by learning to go elsewhere. If persist change the bedding for eg a carpet cut off.
