puppy is happy to sleep in the laundry at night but cries and barks
Our 8 month old puppy is happy to sleep in the laundry at night but cries and barks every morning at 6.30 to get out. Will he grow out of this or is there something we can do? We have tried both ignoring him and letting him out...and neither stops it from happening again
Answer: Help needed
Consistancy is the key ? you will have to decide if you will continue to ignore it and respond to it. Keep in mind, the minute you respond to a cry it may create a cycle. I would suggest keeping to a tight routine. For example, at 10pm he goes out for a last wee in the evening, then everyone goes to bed, you let him out at 7am sharp. He will become accostimed to it. It just requires you keeping very routined for him to learn. You could also try placing a clock radio in the laundry to go off in the morning and keep him company for a little while or have it run softly for the whole night. They last option may or may not work! haha
