Q: Help my Staffy Itch and Hotspots
Hi are you able to give any advice on Staffy Itch and Hotspots? Its driveing my staffy crazy...Have changed her food..thanks nikki and sheba
Answer: My Staffy
Hot spots are most common in breeds such as Golden Retrievers and similar breeds with oily coats to tolerate water. It may be that your Staffy does have something more sinister happening inside such as an infection, which results in the hot spots. You might like to try a medicated dog shampoo or conditioner for dogs. There is a great natural product on the market called 'Aloveen', which is available at most vets. It is great and very soothing for the skin. I suggest a trip to the vet to insure that there is no underlying condition.
