Border Collie paces restlessly in the back of the car

My Border Collie paces restlessly in the back of the car and will only sit or lie when the vehicle comes to rest. This becomes distracting on a long trip. Any solutions? Regs David

Answer: Pacing in the car
Do some research on the net about crate training. Crate's make great portable homes for all breeds and sizes, and will provide a safe and comfortable way to transport you collie. Cargo Barriers are also a good idea - keeping your dog safely in the back of the vehicle. Further some harness's have build in seat belts which are literally a big loop that you can feed through the seat belt and fasten as usual.
