Maltese not eating, Sydney (NSW)

I have a 10 month old maltese terrier (female)who is not interesred in eating. I have two dogs and now separate them at feeding times.. The maltese when the bowl is placed in front of her often just stares up at me and then walks away. I have tried different dog foods, including meats and ham but am unsure if in the long term this is nutritionally sound. She is underweight and a submissive dog. An advise is appreciated. I would definatly look in to products like Boilac, which is a milk subsitute for puppies and kittens. It can also be used for older animals, by adding 2mL of canola oil to lift the total energy and total solids. This will boost the protein that you little one is actually getting in, and it can be offered as a nice warm milky drink. When I worked at a boarding kennel, we used to soak dry food in the cooked chook juices, and then we would mix up the chicken in it. Sounds revolting but the dogs LOVED it! All the fussy dogs lapped it up as well. You could also try serving meals warm? It makes them smell much better. If the problem contiunes definatly seek Vet advise.
