Q: Am I neglecting Jack Russell 10 week old pup?

Hi - I have a 10 week old pup who has now started staying outside while I am at work ( I have a small backyard and fencing ). Soon my dancing will begin again and on Mondays I wont be home til 10.30pm. I will come home to feed him for 15 mins but then be out again. Is this too late to leave him outside on his own? I will have the back light on etc. And in winter he can stay inside. I just dont want to feel that I am neglecting him, as I live on my own... Thanks, Amanda

Hi Amanda. I tend to think that it might be a bit to long to leave your Jack on his own. As a dog walker, and a owner of a Jack - i highly suggest you try to employ a walker for a late afternoon walk. There are some great Melb based walkers on this site, who i know of. You could also check out www.wewalkdogs.org.au for more Melb walkers. There are also some great time wasting dog products available for dogs, such as 'kongs'.
