Is my dogs estrus cycle normal?

Hi I have this mixed breed dog, her mother is a pure bred japanese spitz and father unknown, I already have her for 3 years but she only experienced her menstrual period twice. Its already been 18months since her last period. Is it normal? any advice? Thanks.

Roughly speaking she should come in to heat every 5 - 8 months from the age of 6 months. I think it's something to get checked out. I don't know toooo much about the heat cycle, so I can't comment if there are differences between the breeds. Although I highly doubt it. I would defiantly say its time for a trip to the vet. In particular if you wish to breed with her, as most reputable breeders will only breed the dams on their 3rd cycle.
