cross border collie and rottie who chews everything

I have a cross border collie and rottie who chews everything. She is nearly 12months. How do I stop her from doing this

Answer: Dog chews everything
First of all you would want to rule out any dental / gum issues. Make sure they are not inflamed or red. Insure teeth are all growing / grown properly. Secondly - Border Collies are the smartest dogs, and it could just be a case of boredom. Try to increase walk and play time. Define a space in your home where she can happily chew. You could set up her bed or a mat in the lounge room, and pile it high with boxes, toys, raw hide chews. Encourage her actively to play and chew what ever she likes in this space. If she finds something out of her space to chew on, quickly correct her behavior by taking her back to her own 'chewing spot'.
