Reliable dog grooming in Nth West Sydney..?

Clyde and I have just had an awful grooming experience at Sherridens Dog Grooming at Seven Hills in Sydney. Clyde is a lovely 2 year old Border Terrier and I have angsted over getting him clipped for summer, as the full on stripping exercise was too much for him and for me. He went to this salon last year and came back very short and with an "almost" indistiguishable beard. I was very careful this year to ask to leave some hair around his face/head. This was done, but it looked quite odd - a No. 7 body and hairy head! I took him back but I now have a Border Terrier that looks more like a Jack Russel - with absolutely no beard! I'm really upset, but have been reminded that it's just a bad hair cut and it will grow back - yeh - but how long will we have to wait??? If anyone can recommend a "reliable" dog grooming business in North Western Sydney - I would love to know!

I understand your anguish. A client and I have been battling with a local grooming salon here as their quality of work just goes further and further down hill. As I take Trevor to and from grooming, I was irate to pick him up the other week after they had literally given him a buzz cut! I think the best thing to go by is recommendations from other local dog groomers. Maybe you could hang out at your local dog park and ask for some suggestions? Or if you are in the Macarthur area of Sydney, you could try Dirty Dogs Mobile Hydrobathing - heard some very good things about them!
