Dogs fighting/agressive. Advice needed. Bunbury WA

My two male dogs, still intact, occasionally get into a full brawls complete with skin punctures and tears. Our first dog is a 45kg lab, the secong is a 25kg red cloud x flat coat retreiver. At most times they are good company and I consider the lab the dominant dog. I am worried that this aggression may be directed towards my children, 8&2. Would neutering them both at the same time calm them down. How can I stop this fighting? Please help!! Cheers Matt

I would tend to learn towards getting them fixed. It will lessen their desire to compete with each other. Although, on the other hand - it really depends on the personality of the dog. FYI: I walk the most lovely Lab, who still has all his bits. He is so docile and adorable, he would never hurt a fly! I would have a chat with your vet to get their opinion.
