Dog Depression

My three year old dog has suffered from various allergies since he was 12 weeks old. I have done everything I can and seem to be on the right track by curing his leaky gut. However, he is very depressed and I can only put this down to his allergies. He is walked twice a day, has a very active social life with other dogs and is not left alone for more than three to four days a day, if that. Can you please suggest a natural therapy, ie St John's Wort for my boy. Any help greatly appreciated.

Poor pooch! Rescue Remedy Bach Flower Extract is apparently quite helpful. You can get it from most chemists. Although I have never used it, or heard of it being used on one of my dogs. I think it would be best to look at the clinical route, do have a chat to your vet re: the depression - there are some new and very gental drug therpies on the market. Possibly look at getting a second opinion regarding the allergies, there might be something underlaying.
