Dog spaying and neutering

Dog spaying and neutering

What are the pros and cons? And why should I have it done to my dog. I personally find it quite harsh but if I'm wrong then help me to understand!

ANSWER: Spaying And Neutering
The first argument is that desexing is done by 'responsible' owners as it reduces the chances of unwanted litters of pups, as there is already a oversupply of homeless animals. Turmors and cysts can be completely avoided from the testicals and / or ovaries with de-sexing, these aren't common although they can be very very serious. Prostate problems can be seen more in entire male dogs. There is also the whole 'dominance' behavioural issue which can be difficult to deal with although this is not the case with all dogs. Not to mention constant urine marking. All in all it is a personal choice and generally speaking your dog may be better of if desexed. Put it this way, there will be no harm done to your dog if it is done.
