Sharpei urinating - Gold Coast (QLD)
My Sharpei (5 years old) has always been great in the house but since we went on holidays for 2 weeks in May this year, every time I let him in he urinates, usually in a door way. There is no question he is marking his territory for some reason but I dont know how to stop him. He is so hurt because I wont let him in but even if I watch him he still manages to do it somewhere. He knows its naughty so doesn't do it when I can see him. Its driving me crazy

You may cringe and the thought: have you consider dog nappies? They really truely work! One of my long term doggies Bella, was always widdeling on the carpet, and she had to be locked in the bathroom when home alone. Now she has a nappy put on when I drop her home after her walk and there are no more widdles! Best part is she seems to have stopped widdeling all together when her nappy is on! Some people consider it dreadful but I think it is painless and effective, and you can get back to enjoying sharing you home and life with your pooch. Bella is also sooo much happier being able to roam free at home, we can tell a big difference in her. Check them out online or in your pet shops. FYI: We line Bella's nappy with a ladies 'pad' for extra absorption if required.
